For an at-home activity, paint the plate using acrylic paints and/or acrylic markers, then seal your design with a clear gloss varnish as a protective top coat.
For a professional ceramic finish, paint the plate using ceramic underglaze paints and fire it at a local pottery studio. The recommended firing temperature is 1040°C (Cone 04).
